Quilt Junky!

The beginning: first quilt class in 1995
Now: quilting and/or sewing whenever possible

Obstacles:
  1. My Quilt Cave (QC) is the room over the garage and is not well insulated. Despite the window air conditioner, it's difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature inside when the outside temps pass 90 degrees. And it takes a long time to warm up in winter. There is lots of room for my stash and sewing machines, though, and I love the privacy.
  2. Family - Awesome hubby (M), 15YO son (R), 11YO son (A), Mom (S), Gramma (G)
  3. Work, M-F
  4. House - cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc. Hubby and boys do cleaning and laundry if asked, but I do most of the dinner cooking and grocery shopping.
  5. Internet!
M rarely complains when I want to spend time in the Quilt Cave instead of hanging with him and the boys in the evening. Props to him for that! He also encourages me to spend time with my quilt bee, "Sisters by Choice", when we get together once a month. We also have 4 day retreats twice a year, and he rearranges schedules when needed so I can go to those without quilt guilt. So why don't I spend more time in the QC? Hopefully by recording accomplishments in this blog, I will!
